Talk to Someone Experiencing What You're Going Through Contacting NAMI is the first step in getting support. To talk to someone, you can use the Local Chapters link to the left to get local information. The person you speak to will be able to connect you with community resources. They may also have experienced what you are experiencing. Sharing with them can be very helpful. This is the first step in joining a local support group.
